Joann M. Burns
- burns@roomservicetech.com is our Director of Operations and worked as a project specialist for a major consulting firm for
five years, prior to helping launch Room Service Technologies, LLC™. Ms. Burns brings extensive operational and
food service systems experience to RST having served as a department head and food service director for over 15 years. She
also served as the District Manager for a national food service management company as well as a corporate director overseeing
the operation of two hospital sites. She implemented a Spoken Menu system at the multi unit site. She is an expert in meal distribution logistics, menu delivery systems, patient meal assembly engineering,
multi-site management. Her background includes the responsibility
for large Meals-on-Wheels programs, adult and child daycare, skilled nursing facilities and acute health care. Ms. Burns
is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo with a B.S. degree in Food System Management. She has served as a lecturer
for the college in the Food System Management curriculum. She has managed both union and non-union departments giving
her unique insight into the requirements for managing complex operations. Joann is a member of the National Society
for Healthcare Foodservice Management.
Joann's base is in Lancaster, NY, 15 miles East of Buffalo.
