Glenn R. Schirg
- schirg@roomservicetech.com is the Executive Vice President of Room Service Technologies, LLC™ and is also the co-founder and co-developer
of this program. Mr. Schirg’s primary role with Room Service Technologies is the operational program development
and project leadership. Mr. Schirg has conducted graduate level research on the effects of room service on overall
patient satisfaction in healthcare, and his recent Master’s Degree thesis is used by other room service consultants
for their programming. Mr. Schirg developed some of the first large scale healthcare Room Service Programs in the nation
at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. His Room Service Programs
literally span the continental United States. Mr. Schirg has made numerous presentations on improving patient satisfaction and customer
service, and on room service in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Mr. Schirg the National Society for Healthcare Foodservice Management and the American
Society for Healthcare Food Service Administrators. Glenn holds an A.A.S. degree in Food Service Administration form
Erie Community College in
Williamsville,
NY.
He graduated from The University of Wisconsin-Stout with a B.S. degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management and
holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Hospitality Administration.
He developed and recommended a national
standard for patient meal tray assembly productivity in healthcare and has designed some of the most accurate, efficient and
productive tray assembly systems, anywhere. His work in this area includes the Manitoba Regional Distribution Facility
in Winnipeg
producing over 2,000 trays per meal. The Foodservice Consultants Society International recognizes Mr. Schirg as a professional
member. He received his Master’s Degree in management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in May 2007.
Glenn is located in Gallatin, TN about 30 miles NE of Nashville.
